Aqua Expeditions Re-launches Luxury Vessel, Aqua Amazon, with Exquisite Refurbishments

Jordi Puig, widely regarded as one of Peru's finest architects, has once again been involved in the design of the vessel's new interiors. Aqua Amazon's 12 suites have been completely updated to incorporate new furnishings, bathrooms and blackout curtains across the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. The communal areas have also been updated, from new furniture, a new awning over the exterior lounge to new flooring.

Operational improvements to Aqua Expeditions' notorious service include the latest satellite phones for the Captain and head guides as well as new flooring on the skiffs for ease and comfort of guests embarking and disembarking.

To coincide with the new design and fittings, Aqua Expeditions has also launched a new, elevated wine list for Aqua Amazon, including a selection of four brand new organic house wines to accompany the haute cuisine created by Executive Chef, Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.

The re-launch of Aqua Amazon comes ahead of the introduction of a third luxury vessel to Aqua Expeditions' fleet - Aqua Mekong – in early 2014. This new vessel will operate itineraries in Vietnam and Cambodia, modelling the water safari experience with daily river and shore excursions that the Aqua Expeditions' cruisers have perfected on the Peruvian Amazon.
