Cliff House Maine Unveils Newly Reimagined Resort

Leading investment firm Rockbridge partnered with Maine hoteliers Marc Dugas and Peter Anastos along with hotel development company RBHD to revitalize Cliff House and carry on its legacy of warmly welcoming both travelers and the local community. With a fresh look and feel, the resort captivates a modern take on authentic, Maine traditions and brings to life a highly anticipated, ground‐breaking coastal vision.

The iconic New England resort, which first welcomed guests in 1872, is inspiring a new generation of travelers with its remarkable views, upscale amenities and new enriching experiences. For the first time in its storied 144-year lifespan, the property will remain open year-round, inviting guests to experience the true essence of Southern Maine throughout the seasons.

The extensive renovation touched nearly every aspect of the tradition-rich resort, adding new amenities and enhancing existing features throughout, such as fully renovated guestrooms with luxurious and contemporary touches; a reconcepting of the resort's restaurants and bars, including a classic Maine lobster shack and a feature restaurant showcasing locally-sourced cuisine; a new 4,300 square foot ballroom; and a new full-service spa and fitness center.



Redesigned Rooms
Cliff House welcomes vacationers with 132 well-appointed guest rooms, each with terraces overlooking the majestic Bald Head Cliff and expansive water views. In summer of 2017, the resort will debut additional guest rooms and suites bringing the total count to over 225. Guest room options range from the Premium Collection with enchanting fireplaces and expansive private terraces to the coveted Luxury Spa Suites located within the spa offering exclusive services and treatments. Each room boasts stylish touches and in-room offerings such as premium red flower bath amenities, coastal-inspired furnishings, intimate glass terraces with seating to enjoy the ocean, plush hooded bathrobes and luxury linens including Cuddledown comforters made locally in Maine.

Influenced by coastal Maine flavors, the property's innovative restaurants and bars offer guests delicious meals inspired by indigenous local products, presented with grace and style. Cliff House's signature restaurant, The Tiller Restaurant, features a seasonal menu containing varying flavors for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Situated just beyond the double sided fireplace by The Tiller Restaurant, the Tidemark Terrace offers handcrafted cocktails along with fresh and regional dishes. The traditions and natural treasures of the Maine elements serve as the inspiration behind The Spa at Cliff House, a 9,000 square-foot tucked-away oasis. The Spa will open this fall, combining time-honored techniques and an array of treatments featuring four lavish product lines: Elemental Herbology, Sciote, Red Flower and Zents, which provide unparalleled renewal. Embracing “wild and free” elements of coastal Maine, the spa channels the transformative interplay of water, stone, sky and sand. The Spa at Cliff House encourages both guests of the resort as well as local residents in the area to indulge in rejuvenation.

Introducing over 25,000 square feet of flexible indoor & outdoor meeting and event spaces, Cliff House caters to modern corporate events, meetings and unforgettable weddings.
