A bone's throw from one of the nation's top leash-free beaches -- Carmel Beach -- Cypress Inn celebrates the season with a variety of novel treats including tricks for an upgrade upon arrival (based on availability), complimentary turndown treat service and a special Cypress Inn logoed collar tag for Fido to tout his travels.

TEA WITH TOTO

Blending the best of both worlds, weekend guests can enjoy a new afternoon Tea with Toto next to a crackling fire in the cozy Day Room. Service includes a selection of homemade scones, tea cookies, petit fours and sandwiches paired with tea and a special blend of health-oriented Essiac and Chamomile tea for furry companions. Long acknowledged for its health benefits including strengthening an animals' immune system, muscles, organs, tissues and bones, removing toxins and assisting in fighting tumors, Essiac tea paired with the calming qualities of Chamomile is the ideal antidote for A- list pets. YAPPY HOUR & MUTTINIS

Things start to shake up in the afternoon, as Terry's Lounge rolls out Yappy Hour daily from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A vintage slice of Hollywood by the sea, Cypress Inn salutes all things retro with a classic cocktail menu and complimentary Muttini for visiting dogs. From the ornate Lounge to the alfresco fireside patio and Day Room, this lively showcase of pets on parade is not to be missed.

HIGH FIVE FOR FIDO

An added treat with a feel-good finish, each Puppy Love reservation includes a $10.00 donation to Doris Day Animal Foundation (DDAF). Founded in 1978, DDAF provides grants and funding for a variety of programs directed to animals in need. Supported programs include World Spay Day, an annual event which has helped spay and neuter more than 1.5 million animals, the Horse Rescue & Adoption Center, Eyes in the Skies raptor rehabilitation center and Duffy Day Lifesaving Program targeting senior and special needs animals facing euthanasia.

Ahead of the curve, Cypress Inn was one of California's first hotel properties to welcome pets in the mid-1980s and has since seen everything from parrots to potbellied pigs check in for an adventure by the sea.
