Enchantment Group, the award-winning hospitality company behind Mii amo, a destination spa, and Enchantment Resort, both in Sedona, Arizona, and The Tides Inn in Virginia has announced the reopening of its tranquil and secluded property, The Cove, on Eleuthera Island, Bahamas—a small, virtually undeveloped paradise, fifty miles east of Nassau. Now offering just 16 oceanfront luxury villas, The Cove has been reimagined as a private island resort and is currently taking reservations for stays beginning December 20, 2021.
Guests visiting the property are hosted by varied personalities, from wellbeing practitioners, chefs, concierges, mixologists, and more, many of whom are returning alongside General Manager, Jason Trollip. "Reopening The Cove as a more intimate experience allows our team to offer visitors the ideal balance of privacy and relaxation, coupled with the exceptional service guests have come to expect from the property,” said Trollip. "By thoughtfully reopening with just 16 villas versus the original 55, guests will truly feel as though they are on their own private island.”
The Cove’s exclusive oceanfront accommodations are comprised of luxury villas with views of two private, sandy beaches. Selected amenities and services will be available 24-hours a day. Guests will enjoy elevated, Asian-inspired cuisine at Freedom Restaurant & Sushi Bar from a culinary team with diverse repertoires including exceptional presentations of fish, and local produce with pastries and breads baked on-site daily. The resort’s highly regarded sushi program will also be returning. Additionally, the resort offers an infinity swimming pool, restaurant, bar, kitchen garden, spa suites, and fitness center.
The kitchen garden is tended to by The Cove’s resident gardener, Miss Angie, who has a deep level of expertise in the health and medicinal values of everything she grows. Guests are invited to join her as she tills the soil, plants and harvests, all the while sharing her extensive knowledge of the array of species she nurtures.
Additional activities available to guests include boating, fishing, snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and 1.5 miles of unobstructed open water swimming. The resort’s boat captain, MJ, is available for excursions in and around the islands and also serves as an on-site nature guide offering insights into the history of the island and the flora and fauna thriving beneath the water. Two spa suites are offered for traditional Thai massages, a selection of scrubs and wraps, and daily yoga and stretching.
The Cove is a 20-minute flight from Nassau. Additional daily flights from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Atlanta, Orlando and Charlotte land at North Eleuthera Airport, just 20 minutes from the resort. Charter and private air, as well as transportation can be arranged by The Cove resort hosts.
