King Pacific Lodge Voted #1 in Canada by Conde Nast Traveler Readers
Scoring a lofty 97.00, the floating wilderness lodge was also voted No. 16 in the world's Top 100 Travel Experiences. Over 28,000 of Condé Nast Traveler's globe-trotting readers voted for their favourite travel experiences using five resort criteria - food/dining, location, overall design, rooms and service.

King Pacific Lodge president, Michael Uehara, who collected the award in New York on October 10, said: "Our guests are discerning. They travel extensively and are constantly seeking new experiences, new skills or ways to give back. At King Pacific Lodge we aim to keep the experience fresh and relevant. We remain continually in awe of the environment we work in, and strive to provide an experience that is as exceptional as our natural surroundings."

King Pacific Lodge is a floating, luxury, wilderness lodge located in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. Anchored off Princess Royal Island about 380 km north of Vancouver, the 17-room lodge operates from June to September and offers guests an inclusive experience of guided hikes, sea kayaking, fly fishing and wildlife watching. King Pacific Lodge attracts guests keen to immerse themselves in outdoor adventures in the Great Bear Rainforest, the world's largest remaining tract of temperate rainforest, where guests sometimes catch a glimpse of the rare Kermode or "spirit" bear. From fabulous fishing and Canada's richest whale habitat, to an authentic glimpse of First Nation's culture, King Pacific Lodge offers an unparalleled experience.

The 2012 season runs from June 1 to September 24.
