Unique Architecture

The hotel's ground-breaking design was masterminded by Jean-Michel Gathy, Chief designer and advisor for Denniston International Architects & Planners Ltd, creating Alpine chic meets Asian nuances throughout the 5-star Deluxe Hotel. This style is welcomed after an active day on the slopes, where the indoor and outdoor fireplaces glow against the wood panelling creating a comforting and Zen atmosphere for guests to unwind.

Restaurants and Bars

Headed by Executive Chef Mansour Memarian, who has two Michelin stars under his belt, gastronomy is a key highlight for the luxury hotel. The Restaurant showcases four open atelier kitchens specialising Western and Asian Cuisine whilst the highly anticipated Japanese Restaurant by Hide Yamamoto serves authentic dishes prepared at a tempura and sushi bar right before your eyes. Other food and beverage offerings include The Wine & Cigar Library, The Lobby, The Courtyard, The Pool and The Bar and Living Room and the huge Cheese Cellar featuring local specialities from the Urner Alps and San Gottardo.

Sit back, relax and let The Chedi Andermatt’s expert team of therapists harmonise your holistic wellbeing in the 2,400-square-metre Spa. In addition to a 35-metre indoor pool and 12-metre outdoor pool, it features a variety of smaller pools, Finnish sauna, hammam and ten spa suites offering bespoke treatments using natural products from ila, REN and Alpienne. For the fitness fanatics, The Health Club is equipped with the latest Technogym equipment and personal trainers are on hand to create customised programmes for guests.

In addition, developments to connect the Sedrun ski domain to The Chedi Andermatt are underway and are set to create over 120 kilometres of slopes available to skiers by 2016.

The Chedi Andermatt is also one of the only resorts in Switzerland to remain open year round allowing guests to experience the green and lush face of Switzerland. Andermatt in the summer months is a paradise for hikers, bikers, nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. What’s more, from the summer of 2014, avid golfers will find an 18-hole golf course, designed by Kurt Rossknecht, just minutes from The Chedi Andermatt. How To Get There

Getting to Andermatt from Zurich Airport takes 90 minutes by car, from Milan airport two hours, and from Buochs private airfield, at the disposal of private planes, 45 minutes.

To get to Andermatt by train it takes two hours from Zurich and three-and-a-half hours from Milan.

Rates start at CHF 650 for a Deluxe Room on a B&B basis. The Explore In Style package includes 4 nights in a Deluxe Suite including breakfast, ski passes for two and a private guided tour of the valley, as well as a four-course set dinner at The Restaurant, a bottle of Taittinger champagne and canapés in room, complimentary access to the spa and wellness centre complete with a 60-minute Alpienne Mountain massage per person. The package is available from January 9 until April 21, 2014 and rates start from 3,450 CHF based on two people sharing.
