The Leela Kovalam Wins Lonely Planet's 'Best Indian Luxury Hotel' Award

The readers' choice award was presented to Rajiv Kaul, President, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts and NC Somaiah, General Manager, The Leela Kovalam at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai. The winners were joined by the who's who of the national travel industry, several international invitees and celebrities like Rahul Khanna, Evelyn Sharma, Rajkummar Rao, Rashmi Uday Singh and Kabir Khan who are keen travellers themselves.

This is the third year in a row that The Leela Kovalam has won a Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Award, the first and the second being Best Resort Hotel in 2012 and Best Hotel for Relaxation in 2013 respectively. All winners of the Lonely Planet Magazine India (LPMI) Travel Awards 2014 were adjudged by the most important stakeholders – the readers themselves, for the benefit of other readers.
