June 16–18, the resort will welcome “The Macallan Speyside Lounge” pop-up, specialty menus in four dining venues, wellness programming, and new accommodations offerings.
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay will transform its Conservatory Lounge area near the hotel lobby into The Speyside Lounge. The first of its kind, the parlor hosts only 8 to 10 guests at once. Artful decor will set the tone for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience for whisky enthusiasts and beginners alike. Guests can enjoy complimentary tastings, select from custom cocktails, or opt for one of three tasting flights. Flight 1 is the “Harmony Collection” ($105pp), with Double Cask 12 Years Old, Harmony Collection Rich Cacao, and Harmony Collection Intense Arabica. Flight 2’s “Macallan Double Cask Collection” ($145pp) includes three Double Cask expressions, 12, 15, and 18 Years Old. The Flight 3 “Macallan Sherry Oak Collection” ($162pp) offers Sherry Oak 8 and 12 Years Old, and Double Cask 15 Years Old. Flights are priced individually starting at $105 for three 1 oz pours. Beyond The Speyside Lounge, the resort is activating at four of its dining venues. Forbes Four-Star restaurant, Navio, will welcome The Macallan Whisky Cart, which will float throughout the restaurant all weekend-long during dinner and brunch service. The whiskies are designed to complement the featured culinary offerings, such as Navio’s enhanced brunch menu ($249pp), which includes smoked salmon, baked oysters, New York roast, and more. On the resort’s striking Ocean Terrace, guests will enjoy The Macallan Tasting Flight ($70pp), offering three different expressions of The Macallan, perfectly paired with sweeping views of the Pacific and Ocean Course. The resort’s coastal-inspired dining venue, The Conservatory, will introduce three new limited-time menu items paired with The Macallan-infused accouterments. Items include Hamachi Tiradito cured in Macallan Whisky, Glazed King Salmon with Macallan Whisky Glaze, Côte de Boeuf Macallan Whisky Au Jus, and a Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding. Finally, Club Level guests can delight in a private tasting experience lead by a Macallan specialist on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Club Lounge.
To round out the experience, families can reserve the resort’s new Golf-In, Golf-Out package starting at $889 USD per night. With the resort’s idyllic location right on the fairways of two championship golf courses, the resort creates a play on the ski-in, ski-out experience. In addition to overnight accommodations, the package includes one round of golf per person, per night’s stay on either the Old Course or the Ocean Course (based on availability), a GPS enabled golf cart to be picked up at Pro Shop, $50 USD resort credit, per night, and overnight valet parking, per night.
R&R after a day on the links is key at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. From June 15 to 20, the resort is introducing a limited-time gift with its signature Men’s Massage. At $330+ per person for 80 minutes, guests will unwind in style with this rebalancing and intensely relaxing treatment. The full body massage incorporates heated stones, and both a facial and soothing scalp massage.
