Ultimate Tequila Tour Offered by Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita

Created solely for Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita guests, the Ultimate Tequila Tour Extraordinary Experience offers tequila aficionados a highly customized way to explore Mexico’s beloved spirit with exclusive behind-the-scenes tours, private tastings with an expert sommelier, gourmet cuisine prepared by a Four Seasons chef and two custom blended bottles of tequila.

To begin the one-of-a-kind adventure, guests will fly by private helicopter to the family-run Mundo Cuervo distillery in the town of Tequila, Mexico. The nine-hour excursion will first take guests through the blue agave fields, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, where they will learn about the process of “Jima” harvesting and plant their own agave. A personal plaque will accompany each new planting, to ensure that in time, guests can return to taste tequila distilled from their very own agave.

Following the activities at the agave fields, guests will embark on a guided tour of La Rojeña, the oldest tequila distillery in the world, to learn about the inner-workings of tequila production and the different varieties of tequila. An expert sommelier will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Reserva de la Familia, the underground cellar of the distillery, and offer guests a private tasting of tequila straight from the barrels. Guest will also bottle their own spirit, complete with a personalized serial number and customized seal.



Top-shelf spirits will be complemented by a three-course lunch prepared by the Mundo Cuervo chef and Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita Chef and live music by an authentic mariachi band. To conclude the Extraordinary Experience, guests will be escorted to a private area of the distillery for an exclusive tasting of a selection of white, rested and aged tequila. The sommelier will guide guests through the blending process, allowing each to taste the most premium tequilas and find a blend perfectly suited to their palate. Each guest will leave with a one-liter demijohn, filled with their exclusive tequila blend.
